Mounted Single Leg Trailing Beam Mole Plough 2024 spec

JSA Three-point linkage single leg trailing beam mole plough. 

Designed and manufactured by J. Silk Agri the trailing beam mole plough can help to achieve the full potential of your soil by reducing water drainage problems by creating a long-lasting path for water to flow as well as cracking the soil to allow water into the mole channels. 

The trailing beam slides along the surface preventing excessive surface disturbance as well as providing the absolute best depth control and contour following creating a consistent mole channel. A hydraulic head stock allows the mole beam to travel independently of the tractor over uneven ground. 

The JSA mole is mounted twin axis pivot to allow side movement to allow the mole to be pulled in gentle curves and allow steering adjustment on track and pivot steer tractors. 

The modern design eliminates rotational movement that can cause the mole to pull off vertical.   

  

The hydraulic top cylinder can be retracted when starting the mole giving a greater angle to reach the working depth in a much shorter distance, the cylinder can also be fully extended, and the 3-point linkage lifted to allow the mole to ride out of the ground as reducing the damage at the end of the mole.  

Working Depth can be adjusted to 800mm 

The total weight of the mole plough is 1150kg and 3.5m long.  

20mm thick skid and 25mm main frame. 

As standard the mole headstock is supplied with category 3 pins and Cat 4 as an option. 

The angle of the leg and mole can be adjusted to run at the optimum angle for all soil conditions by adding and removing the shims 

A Single shear tab is used on the mole plough, the shear mechanism is both simple and reliable and allows the leg to retract should a hidden immovable object be hit. Replacement of the shear tabs is quick and low cost Requiring no tools. Spare shear tabs are stored on the machine. 

The mole drainer is fitted with a 560mm 6mm thick notched cutting disc to cut the turf or crop preventing it from becoming wrapped around the leg. The disc has six depth positions. 

The mole can be fitted with an 85mm or 100mm expander to increase the mole size to suit the soil and water conditions. 

Recommended power requirements for the mole plough is 120hp + but depending on the required depth, soil conditions and expander size this may be increased. We are also happy for the mole plough to go on 600+ HP Tractors.  

The 2024 spec includes a full length HARDOX Skid Plate  

two direction Knuckle pivot joint for steer and float to keep the leg true vertical when in use with spring dampers to prevent swinging when out of work.
